Bettina Haller (Germany), long-time Vice Chairperson of the SEC, has retired. The delegates elected unanimously Saskia Krausser (Germany) as her successor.

All delegates gave reports on the current situation in their countries. The discussion was mainly focussed on the job cuts in the division “Digital Industries” and the changes inside the structure of the company caused by the concept of the change to a “One Tech Company”.

Birgit Steinborn (Germany), the president of the Employee Representation of Siemens in Germany, held a speech on her view on the current situation of the company. Dr. Christian Pfeiffer (Germany) added a report  on Siemens Mobility.

The delegates unanimously agreed on a declaration of the SEC regarding the political and economic situation in Europe and its point of view on the problematic developments, especially the threats to democracy, which are currently happening.

The importance of this declaration (link to PDF at the bottom) was underlined by Hagen Reimer (IG Metall, Germany), who held a speech on behalf of the European unions.

Gunnar Zukunft (Germany) gave an overview of the software companies, which have been acquired by Siemens in the last years.

On the second day of the meeting, all topics were discussed with the management. The SEC delegates also visited the Siemens factory in Haguenau.
