32nd meeting of the Siemens Europe Committee

On April 28th/29th, 2026, the Siemens Europe Committee (SEC) held its annual meeting in Sweden. 35 delegates from 23 countries took part in the meeting, which was led by the SEC president, Mimon Uhamou from Germany, and his deputy, Saskia Krausser, Germany.

Report from the IG Metall's perspective on European industry politics.

The delegates from Germany, UK, Austria, Czech Republic, France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Italy, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Ireland, Norway, Bulgaria, Greece and Croatia reported the current situation in their respective countries.

Tobias Bäumler and Stefanie Lengfelder, the new president and vice president of the Central Works Council of Siemens Germany, talked about the strategy of the employee representatives in Germany. Christian Pfeiffer from the Central Works Council of Siemens Mobility in Germany gave some information on the current situation at Siemens Mobility; Dorothea Simon, the chairwoman of the Central Works Council of Siemens Healthineers in Germany, explained the current development at Siemens Healthineers. Since Siemens Healthineers will be separated from Siemens in the future, a new European Works Council for Siemens Healthineers has to be set up.

Hagen Reimer (IG Metall, Germany) commented on the global political and economic situation from the point of view of the European unions, focussing especially on the necessity of European industry politics.

On the second day of the meeting, the delegates discussed their topics and questions with representatives of the top management of Siemens, led by Judith Wiese, Chief People and Sustainability Officer and Member of the Managing Board of Siemens.

The delegates of the Siemens Europe Committee finally had a training day under the guidance of the trainers Rosi Schneider and Melissa Reuter from the German union IG Metall.
